If there is one word to describe this place, it is “UTOPIA”!! Treehouse Utopia is a Leisure getaway nestled in the Ranches of Utopia Texas. It is a 7 hours drive from Dallas Texas and around 90 mins from San Antonia. It’s located in Texas hill country so the first thing you notice as you get close are the winding hilly roads and open green pastures with livestock grazing on them.
On Arrival, we were greeting by the Friendly Property Manager who processed our check-in and then took us into the Treehouse area. On First glance the area looks like a picturesque and beautiful river side dwelling!! The Treehouses are awfully cute and the excitement to enter them just grows on you!!
We stayed at the Carousel Treehouse which is right next to the stream of water and has a 360 view of the entire area. You can hear the enchanting sound of water flowing from the Patio or Balcony area of the Treehouse. Upon entering you are in complete awww of the beautiful and cute decoration all around the Treehouse. It is very clear that there was meticulous preparation done to make this place a perfect getaway retreat for couples!!
The balconies give a surreal view of the beautiful Wooded area along the water stream. Gentle waterfall in the distance echos a melodious sound. You feel like there is an instant connection with nature!!
That feeling of being a top a tree starts to sink in when you are sipping your coffee on the deck and taking a peek down at the floor. We are almost 20 feet above the ground and yet you don’t feel a thing. We though staying so close to a Tree might invite unwanted pests to the Cabin but alas we were wrong!! The cabins are maculate and clean with no sign of any pests.
The Breakfast is already stored in the Refrigerator of the Treehouse. For Lunch and Dinner, you can drive to Utopia and try out the local Cafes(s). We went to the Lost Maples Cafe which was a delight!! Bring some swim-wears as the water can be enticing and you might wanna fancy a dip or just lay out lazily on a float.
Night times have a unique aura!! Step outside the Treehouse to complete silence and giving you the feeling you are miles away from civilization. Look up at the sky to get a clear view of Beautiful Stars and also a little details of our Milky way galaxy as well!!
Laurel Waters & Pete Nelson are the founders of this Treehouse project. They were inspired by the Strong and beautiful Bald Cypress Trees in this beautiful backdrop of Utopia Texas. It’s a perfect gem of a place and highly recommend to any couple looking for a Nature Re-treat!!
